So the family heads to San Francisco (Marin County) for a visit with some friends. My buddy Shawn has gotten back on the horse and wants to ride when I get out there. First thing I do on the way is head to a small bike shop I know in Sausilito to see if they rent.

I get there and besides the fleet of beach cruisers and that sweet new hybrid, I can rent a mountain bike that if I actually wanted to take it off road, might taco the wheel just getting off the curb of the parking lot. I ask the bike shop guy, what i could do. He sizes me up and says, “I’ve got my road bike here and I’m not using it… want to rent it from me?”

Bike Shop Guy earns cash and I get a few good rides up and around Mt. Tam.
